Director of Business Development

The Director of Business Development should be a true hunter and able to strategically sell within an organization across multiple departments and stakeholders. Preferred candidates have a background selling software as a service or technology with long sales cycles to retailers located on the East Coast. Attending networking events outside of office hours is required. Travel for client visits and trade shows.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilizing proven sales methods to prospect and identify new retail clients within the Fortune 5000

Sr. Software Quality Assurance/Functional Tester

The Sr. Quality Assurance Analyst will work under general supervision and follow the established procedures for quality assurance, design and implement test plans, including creating automated test scripts using test tools, processes and procedures. This role is responsible for the coordination, creation, execution, maintenance of test cases, and automated functional test scripts to ensure quality control standards are achieved. This position also works in collaboration with all QA testers to meet the testing objectives of the organization and make continuous improvements to maximize testing coverage.

Responsibilities:

  • The functional tester will write test plans based upon requirements, develop functional automated test scripts, perform testing, will have deep knowledge in software testing methodology and the system development life cycle.
  • Develop and maintain any functional and regression tests to ensure code is functioning as designed. Apply test methodology and product knowledge in the design of tests and testing strategies.
  • Support testing of multiple major releases in coordination with development team/vendors while monitoring testing activities and key internal deliverable.
  • Participation in design specification review and technical documentation review is essential to performing these duties.
  • Work closely with the development team to ensure that defects are dealt with in a timely and professional manner.
  • Help prioritize defects to be fixed using an understanding of the business requirements and the needs of the customer.
  • Experience testing Windows application in a SAAS development environment is a plus.
  • Assist and lead the writing and documenting of test cases for automated testing tool.
  • Communicate defects to developers and other stakeholders using JIRA.
  • Ability to write detailed test cases for developers to conduct more thorough testing.
  • Conduct exploratory testing to evaluate robustness and functionality of systems
  • Communicate feature interaction problems
  • Execute and evaluate manual or automated test cases and report test results
  • Facilitate test suite/case reviews with cross-functional team members
  • Identify any potential quality issues per defined process and escalate potential quality issues to management
  • Ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements
  • Isolate, replicate, and report defects and verify defect fixes.

Detailed Responsibilities Include:

  • Design test cases and execute all types of testing (e.g. functional, integration, end-to-end) on all variety of platforms (e.g. mobile, web, portal frameworks)
  • Perform all technical testing efforts including functional automated test scripts development, and test plans.
  • Provide production support of software products by investigating and recreating reported defects
  • Experience with scripting SQL queries and good understanding of Windows application and Visual Studio
  • Test/validate data inbound/outbound files for internal/external interfaces and be familiar with standard interface architectures and connectivity.
  • Assist project teams in determining appropriate quality goals and acceptance criteria. Develop and maintain repeatable and scalable automation test suites; generate manual test scenarios and test cases in a format that can be automated.
  • Work closely with development team to understand how product changes affect maintenance of test cases and the QA testing environments. Participate in review sessions of business requirements.
  • Contribute to the entire software development life cycle (SDLC – Agile and Waterfall preferred) from initial business requirements to deployment & production support
  • Experience with automated test tools like, HP Quality Center/ALM/TestComplete. TestComplete is preferred.
  • Conduct test case reviews and ensure requirements traceability, proper coverage
  • Bachelor of Science degree is required. Masters in CS or similar technical fields is preferred.

  • Advanced level experience writing SQL Server connectivity and advanced queries.: 7 years (SQL 2014 or higher preferred).
  • Prior experience providing defect status and quality metrics to the project manager to ensure bugs are resolved in a timely manner.: 8 years
  • Design, develop and execute automated test cases from requirements.: 8 years
  • Prior experience using automated testing tools for writing test cases AND defect management.: 8 years. One of the following (HP QTP/UFT, TestComplete, Selenium) a plus.
  • Ability to debug using Visual Studio. 5 years (VS 15 preferred).
  • Any prior working history with Microsoft TFS is a plus.
